Principal

Wendy Wolfson is a specialist in media relations for emerging technology companies. Her clients have included Yantra Corporation, Baan, Eventus Logistics, Inforonics, TranXenogen, Topozone.com, XOSoft, Inc., Enterprise Ireland, CMI/Vantage Partners; Digital, and Pyramid Research.

Ms. Wolfson formed her own communications consulting firm in 1999. At Alexander Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, she developed strategic public relations plans, managing top-tier media in the business, technical and online press. Prior to that she was Director of Marketing for Intelligent Automation Systems (IAS), where she developed new market segments for technology applications in custom automation, machine vision for industry and laboratory automation for the Human Genome Project. While at IAS, she built a media relations strategy that rocketed the firm to national attention. She also represented the company on an international trade mission and at a public affairs initiative before Congress.

Ms. Wolfson is involved with entrepreneurial organizations, including WEST (Women Entrepreneurs in Science and Technology), directed public relations for the MIT Enterprise Forum Spring and Fall Workshops and presented on public relations topics for the MIT Founders Forum and at the Boston University School of Management and at Emerson College.

Ms. Wolfson writes about the lighter side of technology and science for Red Herring magazine, Informationweek.com, Salon.com, New Scientist, The Alchemist, and as a commentator for Bostonís NPR affiliate WBUR. She has also contributed to The Boston Globe, Sensors, Laser Focus World and Mass High Tech. Her ventures have been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine and The Christian Science Monitor.

Ms. Wolfson is a member of the steering committee for the New England Science Writers. She attended boot camp this past summer at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta as a recipient of a Knight Science Writing fellowship and a subsequent workshop on radiological risk communication under the auspices of the CDC. Ms. Wolfson received an A.B. in History from Bryn Mawr College, and holds a M.S. in Management jointly from Boston University and Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. She has consulted with CSG for over three years.
